KARA IS SHIVA ?

Baltar is clearly on the Jesus arc

... perhaps other characters are analogs to other human religions

Kara as Shiva? Tigh as Poseidon?

The Hybrid as the Lady in the Lake?

Apollo as Hermes?

Head-Six as Hecate?

Cavil certainly is Peter from the Christian arc ... the so-called "Keeper of the keys"

... 12 Apostles, 12 Cylon models ... perhaps the Cylons are the creators of the monotheism of Christianity/Judaism/Islam and their equivalent precursors such as Zoroastrianism and the "humans" are the progenitors of mystic faiths, paganism, meditative enlightenment such as Buddhism and the polytheistic faiths: Hinduism, Shintoism, and animistic belief systems

"Baltar is clearly on the Jesus Arc..." Well, 'cept for the part about betraying all of humanity and indirectly bringing about the death of billions, sure :)

@anon

I don't argue with your points - but it is the visual allegories they've used again and again along with the monotheism that leads me to that conclusion

@ radii - point well taken. I've certainly noticed that they are at least teasing us with some of the messianic stuff w/ Baltar.

(Same Anon as before)

Just wondering, did anyone think "Oh that's going to be great for my computer screen resolution" upon watching the first "water" shot of the new episode?

My little theory on the dynamics between the “Significant Seven” and the “Final Five”.

So it goes like this: in Sometimes a Great Notion Ellen Tigh states that “…Everything is in place. We will be reborn again, together”.

Which leads me to believe:

1) The Earth cylons also lost their ability to download either through the passage of time (evolution / mutation) or technological incapability.

2) The only person we know that has always been lurking behind some sort of personal intention is Cavil which to me means that he was the one that set up the Final Five resurrection cycle. Thus I label him as an Earth cylon as well.

(How they got to the Colonies I’ll leave that to the interference of Head Beings)

3) That Cavil high jacked the Current Generation of Cylons plan. He got rid of the original Hybrid for his coherent omniscience, got rid of centurion sentience because he know that even between Mechanic and Humanoid Cylons their would be no peace.

4) Colonial Cylons have been known for their tampering with parts of bodies and biologicals for their own “technology”. So why is it that they created a complete humanoid for their Basestar CPU? They could have used an enlarged brain or large ton of disgusting flesh but they went for a human form instead. This leads me to believe that the hybrid is actually either Model 7 or the original Model 1 that knew what Cavil was up to and he “dumbed her down” and made her the Basestar operator. As a result Cavil downloaded himself into the Number 7 line and renamed it Number 1, thus the gap was created.

My Interpretation of 1st Hybrids message

(on a sidenote I believe that the original hybrids message is only coming to pass now)

At last, they’ve come for me. I feel their lives, their destinies spilling out before me.

The denial of the one true path, played out on a world not their own, will end soon enough. (Their Journey revolving around Earth)

Soon there will be four, glorious in awakening, (the Final Four starting to obtain their memories) struggling with the knowledge of their true selves.

The pain of revelation bringing new clarity and in the midst of confusion, he will find her. Saul and Ellen

Enemies brought together by impossible longing. Enemies now joined as one. The way forward at once unthinkable, yet inevitable. (Colonial Cylon Truce)

And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering. (Something goes on with Ellen)

I can see them all. The seven, now six (The Number 3’s no longer exist)

self-described machines who believe themselves without sin. (They were always human)

But in time, it is sin that will consume them. They will know enmity, bitterness, the wrenching agony of the one splintering into many. (Cylon civil war or another Cylon split)

And then, they will join at the promised land, gathered on the wings of an angel.
Not an end, but a beginning. (End of Show)
