ISLANDED IN A STREAM OF STARS - PREVIEW

Quote from Night on the Great Beach, in Henry Beston's The Outermost House:

"For a moment of night we have a glimpse of ourselves and of our world islanded in its stream of stars— pilgrims of mortality, voyaging between horizons across eternal seas of space and time."

Here is a link where you can read the whole page the quote comes from [page 173]

The buzz is that we'll get most of the rest of the answers this ep (possibly Opera House, Head-characters, Kara's true nature, etc. Fingers crossed it is done more artfully than the info-dump in No Exit)

What is this?

And this?

It's cool, whatever the hell it is [and very Lexx] ... I'm thinkin' Lion's
Head Nebula and secret Cylon colony

... but then again this "Lion's" head
looks more like a deep sea fish (a Viperfish, in fact)

I see a pilot's helmet clear as day in the IslandedWhattheHellIsIt image. Does anyone else see it?

If you're referring to the goldish orb at left you need to consider the scale. There is a tiny ship (a Raptor I believe) at the center of the image in one of the light beams so that "helmet" would be very large indeed.

Here is where I saw it. I understand what you are saying, but I'm thinking it's a mystical pull out shot that is supposed to be showing us several thinks at once.

Maybe even a 2001:ASO type thing.

Lexx...cool man...yes...tell me more about what the buzz is...I want what radii is on.

@ EnemaC

the buzzzz is that we will be disappointed and it may end up being "it's all a virtual world" lame-o explanation which sets up ... Caprica - a show which will last one year if its lucky (well, it will last longer than Bionic Woman)

Now if you'd (er, I mean Moore) had actually watched all of Lexx instead of being sensitive about that creative teams' criticisms of ST-TNG you would have seen how absolutely clever it was.

Just wondering:

What are the odds tonight's episode will be any good?

@ Potiphar

I am hopeful - I'd place the odds at 6:5 it will be a good ep

In 2001 I got to meet Xenia Seeberg briefly - she is a sweetheart

Them be to same odds I'd give, radii.

I remain somewhat hopeful...

New Contest while waiting for tonight's show:

What the heck could we call that Cylon biogoo filling up the Galactica's cracks "...as seen on TV..."

Suggestions?

Just watched the coming attractions of tonight's show for the umpteenth time and wondered if you thought the same thing:

Hera is one strange-looking child who - for lack of a better word - gives me the willies.

She doesn't look like either parent at all.

Casting error or stroke of genius?

she looks like the girl - chubbier - from Whale Rider - maybe she's Maori
